HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Lady Eagles of Southern Miss women's basketball welcome the Ole Miss Rebels to Reed Green on Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. matchup.
Southern Miss (3-1) will take on Ole Miss (2-1) on the floor of Reed Green for the first time since 2015, when the Lady Eagles defeated the Rebels 57-38. The pair played last in 2017 in Oxford, where the Lady Eagles fell 59-63. Southern Miss is 2-7 when playing at home against Ole Miss. The Rebels lead the series 18-5, making Tuesday night's game the 24th game overall. The matchup dates back to January 8, 1976 - the first time the Rebels came to Reed Green.
Southern Miss Athletics has some exciting promotions lined up for the Golden Eagle nation, offering free tickets and free popcorn to elementary school students with the presentation of a voucher, as well as 200 gold rally towels for Southern Miss students, and one lucky student will be given the opportunity to win $10,000 with the Series Shootout competition at halftime.Â
