HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Head Coach Mohammed El-Zare and the Southern Miss women's soccer program received National Letters of Intent from two members of the 2020 signing class on National Signing Day (Wednesday, November 13).

Burgess on why she chose Southern Miss
"The moment that I stepped off the plane for my visit, Hattiesburg felt just like home! The campus is beautiful and the atmosphere was everything that I had dreamed of. I just could not picture myself going anywhere else."
El-Zare on the signing of Burgess
"Mallory comes from a club that has produced Golden Eagles, such as Caitlin Pierce, Jenny Caracheo and Miah Zuazua. We are excited about signing a goalkeeper who shows good technical qualities and initiative on and off the field. Mallory will bring a competitive presence into our goalkeeping unit."
Olin signed with the Golden Eagles as a forward and will also arrive on the campus of Southern Miss in the Fall of 2020.
Olin has been a member of the Mandeville High School girl's soccer team for four years. During her time with the program, Olin has received the Coach's Award twice, was the team's leading goal scorer for the 2018-19 season and was a 2018-19 Second Team All-District selection.
On the club circuit, Olin competes for the Mandeville Soccer Club where she won the 2018 Southern Regional Championship and led the team in goals scored for the 2018-19 season.
Olin on why she chose Southern Miss
"I chose Southern Miss because the campus is beautiful and it has a great forensic science program. The soccer team also plays at a fast pace and competes really well."
El-Zare on the signing of Olin
"When I saw Aubrey, I knew within minutes that she is the right fit for our system and style of play. She shows an aggressive personality with the ball, which will add to our attack. Her positional understanding as a flank player will bring sophistication to our offense and allow us flexibility playing out of various shapes. She is a humble young lady that lets her game speak on the field, which is a quality that will help her be successful in life."
