The four Golden Eagles traveling to West Florida all produced quality outings at the SMU Fall Invitational last weekend. The group was highlighted by Arina Amaning's run to the finals in her respective draw. The France native forced her way into the finals after a dominating performance in her previous two matches. However, Amaning had to retire after the first set due to injury.
Monique Burton grabbed two wins on the weekend, both of the straight-set variety. Katia de la Garza ended her Texas trip with a win in two sets on Sunday. Ebru Zeynep Yazgan went winless in her fall opener. Burton and de la Garza were the only doubles pairing to win a match last weekend, beating Hsu/Wong (WSU), 6-4.
