Women’s Soccer to Finish Texas Road Trip With Sunday Afternoon Match Against UTEP

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (6-8-0, 1-5-0 C-USA) will wrap up its Texas road trip when they take on UTEP (8-4-3, 3-2-1 C-USA) at University Field in El Paso, Texas on Sunday (October 20).
 
The Golden Eagles and the Miners will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. (CT)/12:00 p.m. (MT). Southern Miss will be seeking its first road win at UTEP in the history of the program.
 
The Last Time Out
The last time that Southern Miss took the pitch, they fell to UTSA, 2-1 on Thursday night (October 17) in San Antonio.
 
Deja Sandoval gave the Roadrunners a 1-0 lead after heading in a corner kick in the 19th minute of the match. Ellis Patterson collected the assist.
 
Golden Eagles' junior forward Ariel Diaz evened things up after scoring a goal in 33rd minute.
