HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Adam Doleac entertained Southern Miss fans for four seasons on the diamond.
The former Southern Miss baseball standout returns to campus this Saturday to entertain again, but this time will do it on the Spirit Park stage bringing his country music stylings for a free show beginning at 3 p.m., prior to the Golden Eagles homecoming contest with North Texas later that day.
Doleac lettered for the Golden Eagle baseball team from 2008-2011, and was a member of the school's 2009 College World Series squad. ESPN featured one of Doleac's songs "Key to the City" in heavy rotation during their coverage of the 2019 CWS from Omaha, Neb.
Sony Music Nashville recently announces the signing of the singer/songwriter to the Arista Nashville imprint.
Doleac began booking shows as a solo artist following his baseball playing days, which eventually meant a move to Nashville.
After that move, his career quickly gained traction, starting in 2014, when SiriusXM's The Highway selected "I Put It On Ya" as an On The Horizon track. Shortly thereafter, he was offered a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. To date, Adam's ability to construct meaningful tunes have earned him cuts from Darius Rucker and Kane Brown.
Determined to also position himself as an artist, released a self-titled debut EP in June 2017. SiriusXM continued to be one of Adam's most significant supporters. They played multiple tracks from his EP on The Highway, and Adam was a featured artist on the fall 2017 Highway Finds Tour.
Doleac has also caught the attention of the streaming world, and several of his songs have earned spots on Spotify-curated country playlists.
Doleac's "Famous," which he co-wrote with Andy Skib and Bobby Hamrick, will officially ship to country radio as his first Arista Nashville single on Dec. 16.
In his Golden Eagle baseball career, Doleac appeared in 148 career games and posted a .332 batting average with nine home runs and 105 runs batted in.
