Cross Country Ranked #2 in Preseason Poll

The C-USA’s Cross Country preseason poll was released Wednesday.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The preseason poll for cross country was released by the C-USA on Wednesday afternoon, with Southern Miss finding themselves placing second.
After finishing the previous season as the runner-up at the C-USA Cross Country Championships, Coach Stuart and Coach Kindt have elevated this team to new heights, recording the highest preseason poll ranking in program history.

"It's a testament to what this group has accomplished these last couple seasons, fall and spring, to be ranked in the top two of the conference for a consecutive year."
"I am excited to get this season started. We return a lot of experience and it's a team that is used to high expectations. They expect to be in the chase for a podium finish and they've put in the work this summer to have that opportunity."
The Golden Eagles' season kicks off on Aug. 31, where they will travel to Clinton, Miss. for the Mississippi College Opener.
