
Holt Collects Top 25 Finish At LSU Tiger Golf Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss women's golfer Miranda Holt fired a two-over (74) today, bringing her total score at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic to 18-over (234), ending the tournament tied for 25th and collecting her first top 25 finish of the season. The Golden Eagles finished 10th overall at 82-over (946).
"I hit the ball really well today," Holt said. "I knew I could get some strokes back because the weather was a lot better today. I just wanted to go out there and play my best and stay aggressive. I'm happy with my finish."
Holt's third round matched her tournament best single round for the season, doing so for the fourth time this season, and the junior lead the squad with 33 total pars. Her final par count ranked her fifth out of the field of competitors.
Nichada Satasuk was just two strokes behind Holt at 20-over (236) after a seven-over (79) today. She marked six straight pars on holes 13-18 in her concluding round. Emily Cox's nine-over (81) for her third round brought her to 25-over (241) for the duration of the tournament, placing her tied for 45th. The freshman also sank a team-high six birdies over the period of 54 holes.
Julie Baker logged a nine-over (81) in her ending round, positioning her tied for 55th at 27-over (243). Valentina Haupt gathered a 13-over in the tournament's finale, posting a 36-over (252) total and tying for 67th.
Individual Kayla Bloor submitted a 10-over (82), her best round of the tournament, on the day and finished 69th.
