HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss women's golfer Nichada Satasuk claimed her third top 25 finish of the season as she finished tied for 20th, six-over (222) for the duration of the tournament, at the 3M Augusta Invitational. The Golden Eagles held ground from yesterday's round and finished 11th overall at 51-over (915).
This is Satasuk's best finish of the spring season and the 11th top 25 finish of her career. The senior collected 38 pars, fifth most of any golfer, and her five total birdies tied Miranda Holt and Valentina Haupt for the most by a Southern Miss player this tournament.
Holt fired a two-over (74), shooting the lowest round for a Golden Eagle today and tying her mark for lowest round of the season. Her seven stroke improvement from yesterday's round brought her to 21-over (237) for the three rounds, tying her second best score on the year, helping her climb 10 spots to finish tied for 70th.
Freshman Emily Cox mirrored her second round score of a four-over (76) to position herself tied for 44th at 13-over (229), Haupt notched a nine-over (81) today, totaling 19-over (235) for the three days of competition to sit tied for 66th and Julie Baker finished 69th at 20-over (236), tallying a five-over (77) and improved her round score each day.
