
Action Continues at Second Day of LSU Tiger Golf Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team continued action from Baton Rouge, La. today, playing through high temperatures and 10-20 mph winds. Nichada Satasuk is the highest Golden Eagle on the leaderboard at 13-over (157), tied for 24th. The team is tied for 8th through the second day and recorded a 35-over (323) during the second round.
The senior logged a six-over (78) today, a one stroke improvement from yesterday's round, helping her climb five spots from where she started the day. She collected 12 pars today, bringing her total to 21 through two days of competition, and one birdie.
Emily Cox and Miranda Holt are both positioned tied for 34th at 16-over (160). Cox shot 12-over (84) on her second go of the University Club course and Holt submitted a 16-over (86). Holt pared holes 1-6 to start the day, the longest streak of par or better results for the team's Saturday round.
Julie Baker and Valentina Haupt make up the rest of the five player scores for Southern Miss. Baker scored an 11-over (83) on the round, bringing her to 18-over (162) total and Haupt moved five spots up to end the round tied for 63rd, 23-over (167) total, following a round of six-over (78) this afternoon.
Competing as an individual, Kayla Bloor sits in 68th, 27-over (171), after a 16-over (88) round.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Golden Eagles will be paired with SMU and Chattanooga, teeing off on holes 9-11 and 18.
