
Satasuk Paces Golden Eagles after First Round in Georgia

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Senior Southern Miss women's golfer Nichada Satasuk leads the team at three-over (75) after the first round of play at the 3M Augusta Invitational and is tied for 29th. The team is positioned in 13th, 23-over at 311, through the opening 18 holes.
Playing at the Forest Hills Golf Club, Satasuk collected back-to-back birdies on holes No. 5 and 6 and the Chaingmai, Thailand product sank 11 pars through the round, tied for the most on the day with Emily Cox, eight of them coming on the back nine of the par 72, 6,228 yard course.
Tied for 41st, Cox is the next Golden Eagle on the scoreboard at five-over (77). She collected two birdies, coming on holes 5 and 12, and was the only Southern Miss player to birdie those particular holes.
Valentina Haupt, Julie Baker and Miranda Holt sit tied for 55th, 64th and 79, respectively, after individually totaling seven-over (79), eight-over (80) and 10-over (82) in their rounds of play.
