Satasuk Holds Top 25 Spot through 36 Holes in Augusta

HATTIESBURG, Miss. â€" Southern Miss women's golfer Nichada Satasuk collected a one-under (71) to position herself tied for 14th, two-over (146) total, through 36 holes at the 3M Augusta Invitational. The team shot 13-over (301), climbing two slots to 11th and improving on yesterday's round by 10 strokes.
Satasuk fired a two-under on the front nine and the only blemish on her scorecard came when she bogeyed hole 16. Her 26 pars are the fourth most of the 87 golfer field and she's tallied four under-par holes through two days. The senior has now marked 20 par or better rounds while at Southern Miss, improving on the record she set at the Suntrust Gator Women's Invite.
Emily Cox improved on her first 18 by one stroke, finishing with a four-over (76). She totaled 12 pars and a birdie on the day. She's currently in a four way tie for 40th at nine-over (153).
Sitting one stroke off of Cox at 10-over (154) is Valentina Haupt. Her three-over (75) bumped her eleven spots on the scoreboard and she'll begin the final round tied for 44th.
Julie Baker and Miranda Holt round out the rest of the Golden Eagle competitors tied for 69th, 15-over (159) and 80th, 19-over (163), respectively. Both golfers improved one their previous round, Baker shooting a seven-over (79) and Holt registering a nine-over (81).
Tomorrow's final round will be a 9 a.m. ET shotgun start with the Golden Eagles teeing off on holes 10-13.
