Weather Conditions Force Cancellation of Final Day of Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Rainy weather has led to poor course conditions which has forced cancellation of the final day of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, being played at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La.
The Golden Eagles, which compiled rounds of 299 and 300, collected 12th place at the par 72, 7,070-yard course.
Junior Walker Kesterson of Hartsburg, Mo., and sophomore Brian Richards of Gulf Breeze, Fla., were the top Golden Eagle finishers with 36 hole scores of 149 to each tie for 40th-place. Kesterson shot rounds of 74 and 75, while Richards added a 76 and 73.
Southern Miss finishes the fall portion of its schedule Oct. 27-28 at the Steelwood Intercollegiate being played in Loxley, Ala.
