Cross Country Takes First at Warhawk Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Perfect score places the Golden Eagles first at the Warhawk Invitational.
"I was pleased with the effort we had," coach Kindt said. "We have only had a handful of practices together to start the year but there is a lot to be excited about."
The pack was led by Dana Dillistone who was the Individual Champion of the Invitational. There were also big contributions by Victoria Hoppe, Courtney Filliben, and freshman Theresa Harto and Regen McGee.
"Dana Dillistone had a great summer, we saw her turn a corner last spring and I think her expectations now are to be among the best in Conference USA," coach Kindt said. "Vicky Hoppe and Courtney Filliben both had solid days as well as our two freshman Theresa Harto and Regen McGee."
The Golden Eagles will travel to Oxford, Miss. on Sept. 9, to race in the Rebel Cross Country Invitational being hosted by Ole Miss.
