Cross Country C-USA Preseason Poll Released

HATTIESBURG, Miss.—The Southern Miss Women's Cross Country Team was selected to finish third in the Conference USA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Golden Eagles, coming off their best finish in school history, finished fourth in C-USA standings and went on to compete in the 2015 NCAA South Region Championship where they finished 14th out of 30 teams. The 2016 team features nine returnees, including senior Daphney Stanford, who was named to the 2015 Second Team All-Conference USA and senior Dana Dilliston who was a standout and key member that helped the Golden Eagles to their fourth place conference finish.
The Golden Eagles open their season in the Warhawk Cross Country Invitational taking place on Sept. 2, in Monroe, La. before heading to Oxford on Sept. 9 for the Rebel Cross Country Invitational.
