Cross Country Announces 2016 Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss cross country head coach Aaron Kindt announced the release of his team's 2016 schedule Tuesday.
"I'm really excited to get the season started," Kindt, who is in his third season, said. "We have a lot of new faces joining the program this year. I look forward to watching this group come together this fall."
The Golden Eagles get started on Sept. 2 in Monroe, La., at the Warhawk Cross Country Invitational. The following week the team will travel north to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the Rebel Cross Country Invitational taking place on Sept. 9.
"We have an opportunity this year to compete against the best across our region and nationally as well," Kindt said. "I think it sets us up nicely for a strong push at the Conference Championships at the end of October."
On Sept. 17 the team will travel to Baton Rouge, La., to run in the LSU Invitational. They will conclude the regular season in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Oct. 14 before travelling to the Conference USA Cross Country Championship hosted by Charlotte at the end of the month.
The NCAA South Regional Championship with be hosted in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 11.
