
Breck Kline Signs Free Agent Contract with Marlins

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Breck Kline, a three-year letterwinner with the Southern Miss baseball team, signed a free agent contract with the Miami Marlins this past weekend.
Kline, from Slidell, La., had one year left of eligibility for the Golden Eagles. He appeared in 112 games for the Golden Eagles which included 57 starts. He posted a career .212 batting average with nine doubles, a home run and 24 RBI. He is the fifth player from the 2015 squad to sign a professional baseball contract this summer.
He is slated to be a pitcher for the Marlins organization and begins his pro career at the Rookie level for the Gulf Coast League Marlins.
