Christian Talley Signs as Free Agent with Rockies

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss right-handed pitcher Christian Talley has signed a free agent contract with the Colorado Rockies organization and will be assigned to the Grand Junction (Colo.) Rockies of the Rookie level Pioneer League.
Talley, from Diamondhead, Miss., finished his two-year Golden Eagle career this spring with a 3-5 record with one save and a 3.79 earned run average. He appeared in 17 games and made nine starts, throwing 59 1/3 innings. The 6-foot-4 hurled fanned 52 and walked just 15 during the campaign.
In two seasons, Talley posted a 7-9 overall record in 30 appearances, including 22 starts and collected a 3.15 ERA. He fanned 126 batters in 137 career innings.
Talley's first professional season begins this Thursday, June 18, at Idaho Falls.
