Kirby Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's golfer Drew Kirby was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team.
He is the first Southern Miss golfer to earn the honor since Nick Brown in 2011.
The senior was named to the 2014 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar. He is a four-time winner of Conference USA's Academic Medal, as well as a four-time member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. He has been named to the Dean's List and President's List three times. In 2013, he was honored with the College of Business Posey-Munn Book Award.
Kirby is third on the team with a 74.14 stroke average. He has two top ten and five top 20 finishes. At the Samford Intercollegiate, he had a career-best ninth-place finish, while setting or tying career-bests for low round (66), low 36-hole score (142) and low 54-hole score (215).
