HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Golden Eagle track and field teams concluded their regular season, hosting their own Black and Gold Invitational.
The Golden Eagles produced six event champions while 23 placed in the top eight.
Courtland Wells highlighted the performances with a personal-best jump of 2.14m (7-00.25) in the high jump for first place.
Dana Dillistone placed first in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:44.71. Kayla Taylor was the discus winner with a throw of 49.29m (161-8).
Elbert Rogers ran a time of 47.51 in the 400 meters placing first while Kahlil Frazier took first-place honors in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.40.
Richard Collingwood recorded a throw of 16.30m (53-5.75) in the shot for first place. Seven more Golden Eagles placed second or third in seven different events.
Southern Miss will next compete in the Conference USA Championship May 15-18 in Houston, Texas.
