Weathersby Named PING NJCAA First Team All-American

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's golf signee Hayes Weathersby was named an NJCAA Division II PING First Team All-American and All-Central Region by the Golf Coaches Association of America, the GCAA announced on Tuesday.
Weathersby, who is currently a sophomore at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, is the fifth ranked player by Golfstat.com in the NJCAA. He has a scoring average of 72.67 through 28.5 rounds, including five medalist honors this year.
He is currently in fourth-place in the NJCAA National Tournament, four shots back of the leader heading into today's final round.
