Men's Golf in Fifth-Place at Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

Choudrant, La. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in fifth-place heading into the final round of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, hosted by Louisiana Tech and played at the par-72, 7,105-yard Squire Creek Country Club.
The Golden Eagles are four-over para after shooting rounds of 289-291/580.
Senior Drew Kirby and freshman Vasili Kartos are tied for 11th-place at even-par. Kirby opened career-best tying 66 before posting a 78. Kartos opened with a 77 before firing a career-low 67. Kirby now has four rounds of par or better this year and 10 for his career, while Kartos has three rounds of par or better this year.
Sophomore Ryan Argotsinger is tied for 17th-place at one-over par. He shot 74-71/145. The 71 is his third round of par or better this year.
Senior Casey Fernandez is five-over par after carding rounds of 74-75/149, tied for 30th-place and junior Hayes Weathersby is tied for 43rd-place at nine-over par after posting rounds of 75-78/153.
North Texas leads the tournament at 12-under par, four shots in front of Central Arkansas and Stephen F. Austin.
UNT's Juan Munoz leads in the individual tournament at 10-under par, one shot ahead of UCA's Pep Angles.
