Men's Golf in 11th-Place at Shoal Creek Intercollegiate

Birmingham, Ala. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in 11th-place after two rounds of the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate, Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 7,234-yard Shoal Creek Country Club.
The Golden Eagles shot rounds of 313 and 298 to sit at 35-over par.
Sophomore Kevin Brady is tied for 18th-place at two-over par after posting round of 74 and 72. The 72 was his third round of par or better on the year and 17th of his career.
Junior Zach Estep is tied for 49th-place at 10-over par, posting a 75 and 79. Sophomores Casey Fernandez and Drew Kirby are 14-over par, tied for 55th-place. Fernandez shot rounds of 83 and 75, while Kirby posted an 81 and 77. Junior Trent Hillis closed out the scoring at 17-over par with rounds of 87 and 74 for 59th-place.
Houston leads the tournament at five-under par with a 36-hole score of 571. LSU is in second at even par and host UAB is third at one-under.
North Texas' Rodolfo Cazaubon leads the individual competition at six-under par. LSU's Curtis Thompson and Stewart Jolly are tied for fifth-place.
