Southern Miss Heads to Memphis Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team will play its final tournament before the Conference USA Championships when it travels to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Intercollegiate, Monday-Tuesday and hosted by Memphis at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club.
Southern Miss will be joined in the tournament by eight teams who are ranked in Golfweek's Top 100, including four in the top 50. No. 30 UAB headlines the tournament. They are joined by No. 41 Kennesaw State, No. 45 Memphis and No. 47 Middle Tennessee State in the Top 50.
Also in the Top 100 are No. 63 Mississippi State, No. 70 Louisiana Tech, No. 81 Vanderbilt and No. 86 South Alabama.
Akron, Arkansas State and Arkansas-Little Rock will also participate.
Kevin Brady, Nick Brown, Derek Plucienski, Casey Fernandez, and Drew Kirby will participate in the team competition.
The tournament begins Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
