Women's Tennis Team Concludes Fall Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's tennis team completed its fall season after competing in its own Halloween Classic this weekend.
As a team, the Golden Eagles tallied a singles record of 9-10 as Elja van Berlo posted a 4-0 record during the weekend. Alex Bradley finished 2-3 followed by Mackenzie Oskin at 2-2 and Kate Lanier 1-3.
In doubles, the team posted a 4-5 record. Alexus Coats and van Berlo led the way with a 2-0 record with Coats and Kate Lanier having a 1-2 record as did Frances Askew and Oskin.
The overall team winner of the Halloween Classic was Lamar amassing a total of 218 points followed by Louisiana-Lafayette and UAB with 214. Southeastern Louisiana tallied 180 points followed by Southern Miss and Central Arkansas with 177 each, Jacksonville State and Murray State totaled 170 each and Nicholls State/Northwestern State combined together for 155 points.
