Southern Miss Claims 4-0 Victory Over Cumberland

Southern Miss Women's tennis defeated Cumberland 4-0, at Tatum Park on Friday.
Southern Miss took the lead early as they won both doubles matches. Hollie Robinson and Shannon Rogers defeated Emily Jacobs and Kerinn Meisenbach, 8-1. Alexandra Kaluza and Zoe Lee also tallied a win at No. 3, defeating Courtney Schaub and Amber Johnson, 8-1.
The Lady Eagles continued the lead, shutting out the Bulldogs in the singles competition. Hollie Robinison defeated Emily Jacobs 6-1, 6-2, while Lauren Gutterman swept a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kerinn Meisenbach. Shannon Rogers also tallied another shutout at No. 6, defeating Amber Johnson 6-0, 6-0.
"I'm pleased to pick up a win," said head coach Randy Rowley. "Hopefully we can take the momentum into this week."
