Women's Golf Cannot Complete Second Round of Baja Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team opened its 2007 spring season Monday in the Baja Invitational at the Bajamar Golf Resort in Ensenada, Mexico, and saw the completion of play postponed due to darkness. . The Lady Eagles got their opening round in, but could not complete the second circuit due to lack of light on the course. Most of the teams had between one and three holes left to play.
The field includes Wichita State, Cincinnati, Eastern Illinois, Toledo, Portland State, Eastern Kentucky, University of Texas San Antonio, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Southern Miss, Anderson, Winthrop and Detroit Mercy.
The tournament concludes, Tuesday, as the teams finish the second round before playing 18 more holes to complete the 54-hole event.
