Baseball Ranked As High As No. 24 in Latest Polls

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team is ranked No. 24 in the nation by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
After a 3-1 week, including a midweek win at Southeastern Louisiana and a series win against Illinois State, the Golden Eagles moved up four spots from last week's ranking of No. 28.
Rice (13-3) is once again No. 1 in the nation and Tulane is No. 9. Other ranked teams on Southern Miss' schedule include No. 12 Mississippi State (6-0), No. 18 Wichita State (13-2), No. 23 Ole Miss (8-3) and Alabama is receiving votes.
Southern Miss hosts Louisiana Monroe at home on Tuesday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m., travels to Jackson to host Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m., and then hosts Buffalo at home this weekend, March 10-12. Friday's game starts at 6:30 p.m., Saturday's game is at 3 p.m., and Sunday's games starts at 1 p.m.
