Maddox Named Conference USA Hitter of the Week

? Southern Miss junior infielder/outfielder Marc Maddox was named the Conference USA Hitter of the Week for the week ending March 27, 2005. This marks the first time he has been honored this year and the first for the Golden Eagles.

Playing first base, third base and left field during the past week, Maddox hit .429 (9-for-21) with a .909 slugging percentage in leading the Golden Eagles to a 5-0 week. He had two hits in four of the games, hitting safely in each one, with six runs scored. Maddox also had a double, three home runs and eight RBI. He also walked five times to give him a .556 on-base percentage for the week.
