Southern Miss Baseball To Host Free Clinic
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss Head Coach Corky Palmer and the 2005 Golden Eagle baseball team will host a free baseball skills clinic, Saturday, Feb. 12, at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The free clinic is open to players ages 7-12. Registration will take place between 9-9:30 a.m., and the clinic will end at noon. Head Coach Corky Palmer, his coaching staff and the Golden Eagles players will work the clinic. Participants will receive instruction in all phases of the game of baseball, including pitching, hitting, fielding and base running.
Southern Miss is currently in its second week of preseason practice and will open the 2005 season on Friday, Feb. 18, at 3 p.m., against Marshall University.
