Golf Teams Hosting Second Annual Alumni Matches
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's and women's golf teams will host their Second Annual Golf Team Alumni Matches Friday, Oct. 22, with funds raised from the event going to support the Golden Eagle Men's and Women's Golf Foundations.
Former players are invited to participate in the 18-hole, stableford-format event, starting at noon at the Timberton Golf Club, a 4.5 star rated course by Golf Digest.
Players will be divided into teams based on the era in which they played, and each player will be assigned a point quota, based on the player's handicap. Net points won by each team member will be combined to determine tournament winners.
The entry fee is $100 per person and that fee includes range balls, green fee and cart, a lunch buffet and tee gift, along with trophies and prizes for the first-place team, the medalist and the all-tournament team.
Shotgun start for the event is set for 12:30 p.m., on the day of the event.
