Eagle Golfers Finish 9th At The Carter Plantation Intercollegiate
Host Southeastern Louisiana made up seven shots on the final day to take the tournament championship, with a 301-295-286--882 total. Louisiana-Lafayette (302-289-299--890) finished second, and Southern Miss ended the event at 312-304-300--916. Lamar's Chris Stroud earned medalist honors with a six-under-par 71-69-70--210 total and Southeastern's Steven Tilley finished two shots back at 70-71-71--212. Southern Miss' best score came from Ben Snow who finished in a tie for 23rd at 74-76-77--227. Danny Dennis (79-74-75--228) finished tied for 30th, Shane Rushing (81-77-72--230) was tied for 35th, Matt Wofford (79-80-76--235) tied for 50th, and Justin Elliott (80-77-80--237) ended the tournament tied for 54th, Following the Louisiana tournament, Head Coach Steve Johnson and his Golden Eagle team won't play again until the April 2-4 LSU Spring Invitational, at the University Club course in Baton Route, La.
