Men's Golf Signs Cuthbertson HATTIESBURG, Miss.
Cuthbertson, a four-year letterwinner at Conway (Ark.) High School for Coach Janet Taylor, has enjoyed an outstanding high school career with a scoring average of 72.9. He is a four-time all-conference and all-state honoree. He was twice named a AAAAA conference medalist and was the AAAAA state champion in 2004. Cuthbertson also was a first-team All-American.
"Jason brings a tremendous amount of national tournament experience to our program," Johnson said. "He has solid fundamentals and the ability to make a lot of birdies. He will be a welcome addition to our team."
Cuthbertson also has competed on the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) and has won two national tournaments on the tour, to go along with five top 5 finishes and five top 10 finishes. As a junior, he was ranked in the top 100 among high school golfers by Golf Week Titleist and was among the top 40 in players in the Class of 2005. He also has been named Who's Who Among American High School Students.
