Southern Miss Soccer To Play First Home Game HATTIESBURG, Miss - After playing its first four matches of the season on the road, Southern Miss open the home portion of the schedule, Friday, September 12, against Middle Tennessee State. Match time is 4:30 p.m.
Both teams come in undefeated, with Middle Tennessee State sporting a 3-0 record, while Southern Miss is 3-0-1. Southern Miss leads the all-time series 2-0. The Lady Eagles defeated Middle Tennessee State 1-0 on opening day in 2001. In 2002 Southern Miss defeated the Blue Radiers 2-1 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Freshman Carly Barkley leads Southern Miss in goals with three. Junior Katie Randolph leads the Lady Eagles in assists with two. The Lady Eagles' next match will be Tuesday, September 16, against Mississippi Valley State. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
