2021 (COVID-Fr.): Played and started in 59 games, 58 games in rightfield and one at second base, as he batted a team-high tying .345 with squad bests of 17 home runs and 72 RBI…His runs batted in total tied for the nation’s lead with Andy Garriola of Old Dominion…Held team lead for stolen bases as well, converting 12 of 14 steals…His numbers earned him All-America honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (second team) and Perfect Game/Rawlings (third team)…Also garnered Freshman All-America nods from Collegiate Baseball and the NCBWA (first team)…Collected ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region second team accolades, while also earned Conference USA first-team and all-freshman honors…Named to the NCAA Oxford Regional by batting .560 (14x25) with two doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI over five games…Named C-USA Co-Hitter of the Week after enjoying a 8-for-16 weekend with six runs, two doubles, four home runs and 10 RBI against Florida Atlantic…That total included a four-hit, career-high seven RBI contest in the second game of a twinbill versus the Owls as part of a four-game set…Finished the year second in multi-hit contests with 24 (17 2-hit; 5 3-hit; 1 4-hit and 1 5-hit) and first in multi RBI affairs with 15 (6 2-RBI; 5 4-RBI; 2 5-RBI; 1 6-RBI and 1 7-RBI)…His lone five-hit game came against SEMO (6/5) in the NCAA Oxford Regional in which he scored twice and drove in five runs…Enjoyed two-homer games against Northwestern State (2/22), Florida Atlantic (5/15, G2) and Ole Miss (6/7)…Belted a walk-off grand slam in the 11th inning against Louisiana-Lafayette (3/14) in a 6-3 win…Golden Eagles went 12-2 when he homered.
2020 (Fr.): Played in 11 games, starting in 10 (all in centerfield)…hit .275 with two doubles, a homer and 12 RBI…Hit safely in five of his first seven games, including two-hit contests against before New Orleans (2/18) and Central Arkansas (2/21), before suffering an injury in the opening inning against UCA (2/22)…Missed five games…Ended season with a 3x5 game versus Troy (3/10), driving in team season-high six runs…Knocked two in with his lone homer in the first, before adding both a two-run single and double in leading the Golden Eagles to the comeback 9-7 win.
Prep: Played for Jeff McClaskey at Northwest Rankin High School…Named first-team 6A all-state on a squad that reached the North State championship his senior campaign…Batted .469 with 50 runs, 15 doubles, five triples, nine home runs and 51 RBI his senior campaign for a team that finished 30-7…Hit .350 with two homers and 18 RBI as a junior…Finished prep career with a .425 batting average with 20 doubles, seven triples, 11 homers and 73 RBI.
