2026 (So.): Named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year and was a league first-team selection at starting pitcher…Earned ABCA All-South Region first-team honors…Earned a spot at the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team trials…Was one of five Ferriss Trophy finalists for top collegiate baseball player in the state of Mississippi…Earned weekly pitching honor by the Sun Belt and NCBWA as well as earning a spot on the Baseball America National Team of the Week on March 10 after throwing a career-high tying seven innings and tossing a career-best 13 strikeouts versus North Alabama (3/7)…Made 17 starts during the year, which tied him for No. 11 nationally…Finished the year with a 8-1 record and a 4.02 earned run average in 87 1/3 innings…Whiffed 107 and walked 19 and his strikeout-to-walk ratio (5.63) ranked 21st nationally…Won his last four decisions and the Golden Eagles were 15-2 in his starting assignments…Went at least five innings in 12 starts and at least six innings seven times…His other seven inning performance came versus ULM (5/2) as the Golden Eagles won 2-1 in extra innings…Registered 10 strikeouts in 8-1 win over Louisiana (4/10) and also recorded a strong three-inning start against the Cajuns in the Sun Belt Championship game (5/24), giving up a run on one hit with four strikeouts…Threw six shutout frames in a 7-1 win over Arkansas State (3/14), fanning four and not allowing a walk…Fanned 25 and walked one over his final five starts, spanning 18 1/3 innings…Posted more than one walk in a start just four times…Named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2026 semester and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester.
2025 (Fr.): Appeared in 16 games in his first season with 15 starts on the mound…Posted a 5-3 record with a 3.39 ERA…Fanned 46 and struck out 25 over 58 1/3 innings…Hitters batted .275 against him…Recorded victory in debut with a five-inning start versus Lafayette (2/16)…Did not allow a run and only two hits on two walks and two strikeouts over five innings…Team was 12-3 when he started a game…Posted three quality starts and enjoyed his season-high 6 1/3 frames in a victory over Columbia (6/1) in the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional, giving up a run on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts…Added a relief victory over TCU (3/2) with 1 1/3 scoreless frames…Only allowed more than two earned runs in a game just once all season…Had season-high six strikeouts in start versus South Alabama (3/20)…Posted five strikeouts in a game four other times…Surrendered one run over five innings on three hits with four walks and five strikeouts in win over Texas State (4/13) in which he threw a season-high 97 pitches…Added a six-inning victory over ULM (3/23) by allowing a pair of unearned runs on four hits with no walks and four strikeouts…A member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2025 Spring semester and Dean’s List for the 2024 Fall semester.
Prep: Went 8-3 with a 1.18 ERA and 104 strikeouts over 65 1/3 innings and held opponents to a .140 batting average…Also batted .310 with a pair of homers…Named All-State honors by Prep Baseball Louisiana…Garnered Class 5A first-team all-state by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association…Made the LBCA Senior All-Star game…Was a first team 4-5A all-district pick by Central Baseball at pitcher for Central High School as well as the Region 8 Pitcher of the Year by the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association on the strength of an 8-2 record his junior season…Accolades included being a Class 5A honorable mention all-state selection and a Morning Advocate all-Metro pick. Last spring, Harris threw a no-hitter against Zachary in the first round of his state playoff series.
