2021 (C-Fr.): Earned spots on the C-USA All-Conference second team and was a member of the league’s All-Freshman squad…Pitched in 16 games, including 14 starts…Registered a 6-2 record with a 3.25 ERA…Fanned 82 and walked 13 over 74 2/3 innings…Named C-USA Pitcher of the Week after firing a seven-inning, complete-game against WKU (4/24) as he posted 11 strikeouts in the contest…It was the first of three consecutive 7.0 inning starts in which he did not allow a run in any of those outings…Blanked Rice (5/1) in Houston on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts and limited Middle Tennessee (5/8) to three hits and no walks with six strikeouts…Opened the year with a career-best 12 strikeouts against Northwestern State (2/21) in relief…Did not earn a decision in that contest…Went at least six innings in eight starts during the year…Threw 6 1/3 innings in C-USA Tournament against Louisiana Tech (5/29) and allowed one run on nine scattered hits six strikeouts and no walks in a no decision…Played his summer baseball for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod League, posting a 1-1 record with a 4.73 ERA that included nine appearances and one start…Fanned 17 and walked nine in 19 innings of work during the regular schedule…Pitched three times in the playoffs…Collected a spot on the Dean’s List during the Spring 2021 semester and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2020 semester…Named to C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2020 (Fr.): Named Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American after enjoying solid first season with the program by posting a 3-0 record, emerging as a weekend starter when the year ended…Fanned a team-high 26 over 19 2/3 innings …Won his final three outings of the season…Made first start against Valparaiso (2/29) and limited the Crusaders to two runs on seven hits with a walk and a team-high nine tying nine strikeouts over six innings…Followed that start with his longest outing of the season of seven innings, limiting Little Rock (3/7) one run on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts…Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2020 and Fall 2019 semesters…Received a spot on the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Prep: Played for coach Jason Smith at West Lauderdale High…Finished his senior season with a 10-0 record, 127 strikeouts, only 10 walks and a 0.51 ERA with a .404 average with 12 doubles, one home run and 35 RBI…Posted a career 26-4 record there with a 289 strikeouts in 189 1/3 innings with a pair of no-hitters to his credit…Named District 5-4A Pitcher of the Year…Earned first-team all-state, the Meridian Star Premier Preps Team, Clarion-Ledger second-team all-state and a Perfect Game Preseason All-America pick…Reached the state playoffs all four years, winning a state title in 2017 and making it to the Final Four once...Participated in the Crossroad Mississippi All-Star game…A member of the A/B Honor Roll.
