Women's Golf Finalizes 2026-27 Slate

HATTIESBURG -- Southern Miss women's golf coach Colton Cowan has announced the 2026-27 schedule for the Golden Eagles.Â
"We are excited about the schedule we have been able to build," Cowan said. "It gives us a great opportunity to travel and compete against some of the best teams in the country and see where we stack up. These experiences are vital as we continue to build our program and prepare for postseason play."
Southern Miss opens the fall campaign at the Tulane Classic (Sept. 8-9) in New Orleans, La. at TPC Louisiana. The Golden Eagles then travel to Fort Collins, Colo. to play in the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic (Sept. 21-22). It's the first time since the 2023-24 season that they will participate in the two-day event at Ptarmigan Golf Course, which resulted in a record-breaking performance from Momoka Ando.
The middle of the fall schedule features a trip to The Ally (Oct. 5-7) and the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 16-18). The Ally, a yearly staple for the Golden Eagles, will be held at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, and the second of the two events will be played at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Golden Eagles will once again host The Judson (Oct. 26-27) at Hattiesburg Country Club. Southern Miss has won the event in back-to-back seasons under Cowan, including a playoff victory over Tulane last season.Â
The spring season begins with the UCF Challenge (Feb. 1-3) at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Orlando, Fla., before heading to the Huntsville.Org Intercollegiate (March 1-2). That event will be held in Huntsville, Ala., at RTJ Hampton Cove. Southern Miss then heads to the Magnolia Collegiate (March 15-16) at RTJ Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Ala. The regular season finale takes the Golden Eagles to the ULM Invitational at Bayou DeSiard Country Club in Monroe, La. Southern Miss won the event during the 2024-25 season before capturing the Sun Belt Championship later that spring.
The Sun Belt Championships return to Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Ala., which begins with three days of stroke play on April 19. The final day of play on April 22 will be a four-team match play bracket. The individual champion will be crowned on the final day of stroke play.Â
