NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss sophomore golfer Louise Cuyvers has been tabbed Second Team All-Sun Belt, per the league offices' release on Tuesday.
The Belgian native led Southern Miss in stroke average at 73.1 strokes per round, which was nearly two strokes better than her freshman campaign. This year's total ranks as the second-lowest single-season stroke average in program history behind Momoka Ando's 72.9 during the 2023-24 season.
Cuyvers appeared in all 10 events across 27 rounds for the Golden Eagles. She posted a fourth-place finish at the Sun Belt Championships after shooting a 213. Cuyvers also posted back-to-back top three finishes at the Lady Clerico and Hawkeye Invitational early in the season.
At the Lady Clerico, Cuyvers shot a season-low 211. Her 14 rounds of par-or-better golf are the second-most in a single season, also behind Ando's 15 during the 2023-24 season. Cuyvers joins Ando as the only Southern Miss golfers to earn All-Sun Belt honors.
