Softball Travels to Oxford to Take on Ole Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss softball (30-19, 11-7 Sun Belt) faces Ole Miss (27-21, 2-16 SEC) in a midweek clash in Oxford, Miss., at the Ole Miss Softball Stadium, slated for 6 p.m. on April 21.
The game will be streamed to the SEC Network+, covered by Will Kollmeyer on play-by-play and Missy Dickerson as an analyst, and live scoring available through Stat Broadcast.
Southern Miss has won five of six conference series and is coming off a weekend series at Texas State, picking up a 2-1 win on Sunday. Hannah Christian is top 30 in the nation in hits with 65 and Kayla Giardina is 31st in the nation with 15 victories.
The Golden Eagles and the Rebels have competed in 24 matches, the black and gold having a 4-8 record when in Oxford. In the most recent matchup, Southern Miss took a 2-1 victory in Hattiesburg, on Feb. 13, through 10 innings.

Madi George leads the Rebels in batting average holding a .381, slugging .827, 46 RBIs, one triple, 18 home runs and 24 walks. Lilly Witten leads Ole Miss in the circle with a 2.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, three shutouts and holding opposing batters to an average of .222.
