Showcase Saturday Set for April 18

HATTIEBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced Thursday an event called Showcase Saturday, which will be held on its campus April 18, and include a Future Golden Eagles Football Clinic, the Golden Eagles' spring game, as well as a Sun Belt Conference baseball game versus Texas State.
The free Future Golden Eagles Football Clinic is open to youngsters 12 and under and registration will run from 9-10 a.m., with the one-hour clinic to follow. Registration will take place at Gate 1 on the northwest side of Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium. To sign up for the clinic, you are asked to click here for the registration form. At the conclusion of the clinic, first-year football coach Blake Anderson will address the youngsters. In addition, Geyser Falls will provide complimentary passes for all clinic participants.
The annual spring game will then take place at 12 noon, while the start of the baseball game has been moved back an hour to 3 p.m., against the Bobcats. There will be a player autograph session following the spring game. The gates for the spring game open at 11 a.m., and admittance will be through Gate 9.
Admission is free to the spring game and fans are encouraged to park in the lots surrounding the stadium.
The Athletics Department also reminds Golden Eagle supporters that April 18 is also the deadline to renew season tickets. Fans can renew by going to SouthernMiss.com/Tickets. In addition, the ticket deal of 4 for $260 upper deck seats remain in effect until March 31.
