The Golden Eagles were the first to strike with Jolie Hays singling to left center with two outs to score Carrie Green from second base. Southern Miss exploded with a four-run second inning with Abbi Troquille getting the first run in off of a bases loaded walk to bring Kinsley Gordon-Sivley in to score. Kayce Bennett comes up big with a two-out bases clearing double to left center with the Golden Eagles in the lead 5-2.
