HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team quickly returns to action as it travels to The Lady Clerico in Bartlesville, Okla., on Sept. 15 and 16.
This is the first time the Golden Eagles have returned to Oklahoma since finishing their historic 2024-25 season at the NCAA Normal Regional in May. Southern Miss will tee off at Hillcrest Country Club, which is set to play as a par-72, 5,688-yard course for the tournament. The course opened in 1926 and has hosted several major tournaments over the years. The course—considered a hidden gem by Perry Maxwell enthusiasts—is full of other tells from the architect, including wild internal putting contours, constant doglegs, a calm lay-of-the-land presentation, and frequent to-and-fro forays to the clubhouse.Â
The full field includes Abilene Christian, Drake, East Texas A&M, Houston Christian, Lamar, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, UNI, UTEP and UT Rio Grande Valley. The field will start teeing off on Monday at 8 a.m. The Golden Eagles will start on the course's first hole with golfers going off every 10 minutes.Â
Â
Southern Miss will travel Louise Cuyvers, Taylor Trible, Liv Romer, Morgan Guepet and Savannah Van Gaalen. Cuvers paced the Golden Eagles at the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational last week, finishing in 41st after going 10-over par.Â
