Golden Eagles Drop Third Straight in Loss to Auburn

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss Soccer (0-3-0) dropped a 3-0 decision to Auburn on Thursday night at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
The Tigers opened the scoring in the first half and carried a 1-0 lead into the break before adding two more goals in the second period to seal the result. The Golden Eagles battled to create opportunities but were unable to break through, being held scoreless for the third consecutive outing.
Chloe Taylor and Zayla Reagan paced the Southern Miss attack with shot attempts, while goalkeeper Lena Blake tallied three saves and went the distance in net for the Golden Eagles.
Auburn's defense limited Southern Miss to just a handful of chances across the 90 minutes. With the result, Southern Miss moves to 0-3-0 on the season, while Auburn improves to 1-1-1 overall.
