
Women's Golf Selected to Norman Regional for NCAA Tournament

HATTIESBURG, Miss. --Â Southern Miss women's golf was tabbed the No. 12 seed at the NCAA Norman Regional, announced during the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show on the Golf Channel. The three-day event will be May 5-7 at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla.Â
The Golden Eagles are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament after securing an automatic berth by winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last Thursday.Â
The Jimmie Austin Golf Club has hosted the NCAA Regionals in 2013, 2019, 2023, and 2025. The top five teams at each of the six regional sites will advance to the 2025 NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The other five regional sites are: Gold Canyon, Ariz. (Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club), Lexington, Kentucky (Keene Trace Golf Club), Charlottesville, Va. (Birdwood Golf Course), Lubbock, Texas (The Rawls Course), and Columbus, Ohio (OSU Golf Club).
The 12-team Regional features Stanford, Northwestern, North Carolina, Michigan State, Duke, Oklahoma, Baylor, Oregon State, Tulsa, Denver, Furman, and Southern Miss. Stanford is the reigning National Champions after defeating No. 6 UCLA in the match play finals last year and have won three national titles over the last 10 years.Â
Southern Miss is coming off a first-place finish at the Sun Belt Championship, where senior Momoka Ando won the individual title. Junior Taylor Trible took home the Sun Belt Elite Award for her outstanding academic standings and success on the golf course.Â
Norman Regional Site
The Norman Regional will be played at OU Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma and will be hosted by Oklahoma.
