Women's Golf Eyes Top of Leaderboard in Puerto Rico

HUMACAO, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team is tied for third after two rounds of action at The Puerto Rico Shootout in Humacao, P.R. Freshman Louise Cuyvers remains in the top five at Palmas Del Mar Country Club.

Cuyvers, Momoka Ando and Alma Betoret all posted a two-over 74. Ando and Betoret are tied for 14^th on the individual leaderboard. Taylor Trible dropped to 28^th after firing a five-over 77 that included six birdies.

Elena Melich also carded a five-over 77 and is tied for 40^th. The Golden Eagles combined for 17 birdies — all five golfers had at least two on the day. UNCG took sole possession of first place as the Spartans went three-over today. James Madison slid into second place, while Southern Miss, Boston College and Florida Gulf Coast round out the top five.
