Beach Volleyball’s Dennis and Michalska set for AVCA Pair National Championship

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Laurel Dennis (Gulfport, Miss.) and Zuzanna Michalska (Warsaw, Poland) will represent Southern Miss at the AVCA Pair National Championships beginning tomorrow, Nov. 7, in Huntsville, Ala., at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex with first serve set for 9:15 a.m.
Sixty-four pairs from around the nation will take part in the three-day event, hosted by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Fifty-three pairs were selected based on regular season performances from Spring 2025 while 21 pairs, including Dennis and Michalska, earned bids this fall at various qualifying tournaments.
The pair of Golden Eagles earned the No. 52 overall seed and will take on California's Emma Donley and Portia Sherman, the No. 13 seed. A win propels the duo to take on the winner of UAB's Jasmie Haas and Olivia Stant (No. 20 seed) or Washington's Zoe Pabarcus and Ella Tyus (No. 45) in the second round at 11:45 a.m.
A loss drops the pair to the loser's bracket to take on the loser of UAB/Washington at 1 p.m.
