WGCA Announces All-Scholar Awards

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Southern Miss women's golf team was named a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles came in at No. 22 on the list with a team GPA of 3.804.
Southern Miss also had six golfers named as WGCA All-American Scholars – Taylor Trible, Ragini Navet, Momoka Ando, Alma Betoret, Jacee Fields and Elena Melich. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season
- Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship
Southern Miss and Marshall were the only two Sun Belt Conference programs to earn a spot on the list - Marshall came in tied for second. North Dakota State earned the No. 1 spot with a 3.945 team GPA. Below is a full list of the Division I All-Scholar Teams:
