
Women’s 4x100 Relay Team Set to Run in NCAA Championships Thursday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's 4x100 relay squad, consisting of Trinity Flagler, Jada McDougle, Savi'a Varnell and Trinity Benson, will compete this week in the NCAA Championships slated for Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., June 5-8.
The women's semifinal 4x100 relay event takes place, Thursday, at 7:32 p.m. CT with the qualifiers advancing to Saturday's final at 4:32 p.m. CT.
The quartet qualified for the NCAA Championship by post a school-record 43.68 in the NCAA Regionals last month in Lexington, Ky., which was also the eighth-best qualifying mark.
"This group continued to get better and better all spring and saved their best race for the regionals in Lexington producing a school record," said Southern Miss Track and Field coach Jon Stuart. "We look forward to them doing their best here in Oregon this week to continue with their spectacular season."
