Jada McDougle Named Sun Belt Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss senior sprinter Jada McDougle (Decatur, Miss.) was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
McDougle finished in the top eight in three races over the weekend at the LSU Alumni Gold Meet in Baton Rouge, La.
She finished second and established a school record in the 200 meters by posting a time of 23.061. It was the No. 17 best mark in Division I in 2024. She participated in a leg of the 4x100 relay team that placed four (second among collegiate teams) with a 44.03.
She also placed sixth in the 100 meters with an 11.42, which is the No. 37 best mark in Division I in 2024.
The Golden Eagles return to action this weekend when they play host to the Southern Miss Open, April 26-27.
