Chudzik, Murczek Claim Sun Belt’s Final Pair of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss' Ola Chudzik and Sarah Murczek earned the praise of the Sun Belt Conference's coaches after an undefeated final weekend of the 2024 season. The duo paired up at the second flight for the Golden Eagles, sweeping No. 4 Cal Poly, ULM and (RV) Tulane all in two sets each.
Ola Chudzik (Olsztyn, Poland) and Sarah Murczek (Oak Lawn, Ill.) moved their season record to 11-15 as a pair and are now 4-2 at the second flight. Eleven wins as a pair are ninth in a single season in the Southern Miss program's history.
As individuals, Murczek, in her first season with the Golden Eagles, owns 15 wins across the first three flights of play. She is 8-12 at the first flight, 5-5 at the second flight and 2-2 at the third flight.
Chudzik is second on Southern Miss' all-time wins chart with a 51-63 overall record in three seasons as a Golden Eagle. She is 37-44 overall at the first flight, 12-17 at the second flight and 2-0 at the fourth flight. She trails only fellow Golden Eagle Valeria Siakidou Papakyriakou in overall wins as Papakyriakou holds 55 in four seasons.
